@pishta....great post...very helpful! Will trans fluid spill out when I remove the speedo pinion adapter from the trans? Where's the best place to buy a speedo pinion? I have a 26.4" tall tire (225/70/14) and a 3.23 rear gear.

IIRC youll lose about a cup of ATF at the back. But just be prepared with a bucket. Not the full load.

Lift up the back of the car. Very little if any ATF will come out.

Thanks guys...back of car is up....changing 7.25 out for 8.75....thinking I'll have change speedo pinion because of 2.94 to 3.23 gear change as well.
