I am looking for a crank and wp pulley off a 71 318 (maybe other models) preferably from the same motor, to ensure pulleys line up.

The water pump pulley should be 6 5/8" - Single Groove
Crank pulley should be 7.25" - Triple Groove

Thanks!

So, this is a power steering and A/C car?

Well, no. Lol. It's a manual steering car without AC. HOWEVER, I am installing a classic auto air kit and would like to achieve maximum cooling, with the smaller water pump pulley and need the appropriate crank size to match.

My current wp pulley is bigger than my single groove crank and I don't believe there is a single crank pulley that big (7 1/4).

So for sake of the want ad, yes, the application would be PS and AC.

This combo will also work:

5 3/4" water pump pulley from a 64 273 V-8 car with AC.

7 1/4" V8 non AC car as far as I remember.

I have a 7” single groove crank pulley. As long as the crank pulley is bigger than the w/p pulley u will be fine. I have lots of 3 groove crank pulleys I could check. Kim

The trouble I am running into is, the alignment of the pulleys. I have a small wp pulley but my crank pulley doesn't line up. I was gonna get some shims.

Can you measure the depth of your 7" crank pulley, the single.
