Earlier tonight me & my wife took a cruise out to the Bellmore Train station with the `Cuda. For you guys unfamiliar with the area, Bellmore is a weekly cruise that draws a couple hundred cars & bikes. Tonight was wicked-busy! While there a fellow walks up and introduces himself as a FABO member. Greg (aka RMCHRGR) recognized me and spotted my car. We hung out for awhile and then 1BADFISH, Pablo, comes over and introduces himself. Not long afterwards John (didn't catch his screen name...) pulls in with his freshly purchased (we're talking this afternoon ....) `67 Notch that made it all the way from the west coast. Nice car... 273-4spd w/ a bench (personal favorite....) with a DANA ! Great start for a nice project car! Here's a few shots of John's new ride:

Now here's a few random shots from the cruise.....

I recognized this car from MoParts, and it was parked next to the Barracuda above. What a pair of smoking A bodies!!!

Damn `68 Barracuda's are as common as fleas these days....

Now, for something totally different:

Yup... a tribute to the old Munsters DRAGULA!!!!!!!!!! Not a copy, but not far from the real-deal.

This was totally off the hook, out there, and un-F`in-believable!!!!!! THIS is Hot-Roddin at it's best!

My wife even found something she wanted to bring home. I bought her ice-cream instead....

All-in-all we had a great night out. The car ran great, the repaired radiator worked great, and it was a beautiful night...until we left. After pulling a bonzai holeshot like a jerky kid while leaving, I realized I had no headlights. It was a L-O-N-G ride home praying someone didn't run into me!

Now I have something to do this weekend!

You could have bought that car for her and popped it in the trunk for the ride home, lol

White Cuda is cool as hell!
I would love to see the Dragula in person. The interior is real 60's **** man!

I wish I had video of that holeshot! It was a gooood sideways tire-fryer. And to be honest, my wife bought her own ice-cream.

But that casket car.... wow.

The purple Dart is a member here as well. Sorry cant remember your screen name.

That casket car was insane.... The fellow who owns it stopped by to chat when I pulled in. I plan on vising him in the near future as he lives near a friend of mine. He just scored an all original `31 Ford with 8,600 miles. Yes: EIGHT THOUSAND MILLES. And he plans on cutting it up....

I like this guy already. 8)

John, it was nice to meet you in person! I've enjoyed reading the 'Cuda capers for a while now, always entertaining. Your car is way better in person and sounds killer!

Wish I could have seen Pablo's car on the street. I think I've seen it run at the drags and from what he was telling us sounds like it might be a 'money maker' wink wink.

I also met Peter (GMachineDartGT - purple Dart) at a restaurant in my town before the cruise. He was one of the first guys I saw as I pulled into the Bellmore lot. Small world Long Island!

Great night, great weather, great turnout. Plus for me it was so much easier to not have to drive out from the city during rush hour. I'd been doing that for years and years, always seemed like it took forever to get there form Brooklyn. I'll have to get there earlier next time to get a decent spot.

Perhaps one night we can get an all-LI/NYC FABO get together going at Bellmore.

Great meeting you too Greg! I'm sorry we didn't go see your car & photograph it too. It was getting busy with the sudden FABO reunion that occured. When I wandered off to see John's `67 Notch I knew Amy was going to wonder where the Hell I went. She's very cool, but I didn't want to piss her off. We left not long after we all went our seperate ways.

As for the FABO meet-up, we'd all have to get there at 4:00am to score a row of spots all together (it's a commuter parking lot for the rail road) but we can still all plan on going one night.
