Anyone have one of the Quadrajets they stuck on the 318 engines in Diplomats and trucks around 84 through 87 or so? I have a pal building an old van that would like to have one. Let me know what you might have around.
He also needs some of the throttle pressure linkage that goes with it.
Thank you all!

I've got one somewhere but if I remember correctly if the truck sat for more than a day it would be hard to start because the fuel had evaporated or leaked from the fuel bowels. I put a kit in it but still had that issue. would sell if I can find it.

Great, email me a photo or two or post them if you do not mind so I can have my pal visit this site and see if this is what he is truly needing. Can you share the number off it as well?
Thank you very much.

I got this in a parts deal and was told that this is a Mopar Quadrajet. I found some barely readable numbers near the rear driver's side mounting hole. Are there any other identifying numbers around?

It's pretty dirty and the throttle arm itself is a bit loose, like it may have been hit and lost its press fit. But peening it should fix it. Needless to say, it needs to be rebuilt. Otherwise, the throttle shafts don't have any looseness/slop and it looks like a good core..

Just FYI it is the "plugs" in front of the primary's leaking. we used to just smear jb weld on them and done.

I'll get the number and pictures today, I've been out of town.

GM parts on a Mopar are bad mojo, designed to cause early death and send them to the junkyard.
Do your vehicle a favor and use anything but a GM carburetor.
I'd rather see a Holley on there than any GM carb.
Do NOT keep it around the property, sell it, or give it away. The curse would follow it.
It is a cursed thing, banish it and destroy it as you would any evil.

I've modded GM Q Jets for years to work on small block MOPARS based on an 86 Diplomat Cop car I parted.
By using the arm of off that one as a pattern and tack welding them on the shaft of GM Q
Jets. I used the kick down linkage as a pattern too.
It was like this one though. With the solenoid.
It works very well. Edelbrock makes a Q Jet but I don't know anything about it other than it seems to cost several hundred dollars.
I would be interested to know if Holley makes a spread bore without cursed side float bowls and the correct arm for a MOPAR.
