Just thought it would be interesting to know what people have for mileage on their cars and engines. My 63 is pushing 166,000 on the original, never rebuilt 170/. The 68 has about 100,00 original on the 225.

I know my Dart is getting real close to rolling over. Think it has just a little over 98,500 or so on her.
 
82 pick up retired now with 550,000 ....as my kids used to call it ol yeller...shake rattle an roll but never let me down except when it ran out of gas 5 gal can always in tool box full ....nearing retirement top speed 65mph flat out foot to floor an 2or 3 miles to get there. still have it setting along side of out building ..cop car wheels and all
 
My brothers 67 Cuda has about 400,000. Original 273 lasted the first 100,000. The second the rest. Still runs fine. He burn't up 3 speedo's so milage is approximate.
 
Does it count if it's not a Mopar? My F150 has 270K. Other than headgasket etc. 2 years ago, the engine's never been apart. Highest mileage car I ever had was an '84 Volvo 240 DL that had 285K when I killed the tranny.

More in the spirit of the thread, my parents bought an '84 Ram B350 when I was 15.. when I was 25, it was driven to the junkyard with 600K on the 225 slant, never been apart. Heck, if it had been apart (new rings, maybe), it'd probably still be around pushing a million.
 
68 Barracuda, 163,000 but the only thing that has seen all those miles is the body.
73 D100, 268,000 when I sold it to my brother in-law to haul wood out of the woods
85 Daytona Turbo, 220,000 miles when my kid wrapped it around a tree
89 Shelby Daytona, 176,000 when I sold it to thin the herd
89 Dakota 4x4, 256,000 when I sold it
97 Tempo, 165,000 when my daughter totaled it
97 Avenger 130,000 when I sold it for the PT
99 Dakota 4x4, 171,000 and still going strong
03 PT Cruiser GT Turbo, 86,000 and still going strong
 
My ol girl "66 Valiant sedan" has 60.800 miles on her 170/ and doing well :-\" PERFECT :cheers: :-D

My current daily driver '95 Ram 2500 V10 has 156,000. Body needs paint and interior needs redone, but V10 torque-monster still running strong.
 
I got my Barracuda with ~40K miles showing on the O.D. No way that was 40K miles total, so must have been 140K miles. We did a low budget re-ring/hone/valvejob/etc job on the original STD bore original piston motor at that time. That was 1994!

Last month, the #6 rod bearing starting clacking at about 210K miles. Also was blowing smoke out of the breathers unto the firewall. Not bad for original bore and original piston. Especially when I have been cruising it from 3500-3800 rpm for the last 16 years!

It’s been to/through:

  • 14 different states
  • 8 straight through 1600 miles trips from L.A. to/from Iowa (once in 40 hours)
  • Daily commute of 80 mile round trip through Los Angeles from 1999 to 2002
  • Numerous autocross events in Iowa, Nebraska, and California
  • Track days at Willow Springs. 3 years ago sucked oil pan dry once.
  • Rain, snow, sleet, ice storms, blizzards…
  • Hauling the car stuffed to 5600 lbs across county once (broke K-member)
  • Cruising at about 3500-3800 RPM in it. Closer to the 4000 side.
 
66 plymouth valiant v200 4 door (identical to 66 dodge dart) - 56,000 original miles. 36 miles since last inspection a year ago
 
68 cuda has about 58,000 original, bought it at 36,000. Has gone thru countless motors due to it being a street racer for years, but also the reason for low miles.

66 dart wagon has about 120,000 original and now 273 needs a rebuild.

99 GMC sonoma has about 126,000 and runs fantastic.
 
14,700 on the challenger,
26,000 on the Barracuda, but trying to decide if it's got a 1 front of it. bores were in good shape when I had a head off. but it doesn't matter in the long run. super body!
 
My 72 duster reads just over 2,000 but I can only assume 102,000.....BUT since engine is all brand new it has 0 miles on it.

and once I finish the restore of the duster it will technically be a zero mile car too.
 
I did a title history search on my 73 /6. Based on declarations made when it changed hands (until the State of Texas allowed an exemption for exceeding the mechanical limits of the odometer), the mileage on the 73 is now at 293,349.3 There is no evidence that the cylinder head has come off of the engine. The automatic transmission has never been out of the car.

It leaks and burns oil usually to the tune of about a quart per 1200 miles. It is on at least its second radiator, carburetor, and fuel pump. The rear axle was replaced last year.

The old beast makes no rattles under the hood and still gets 16/25 mpg. When the road is straight and the law enforcement community is absent, it can push the needle past the century mark. I use the car regularly putting an average of 16k per year on it.
 
my duster had 49,350 when the slant was pulled and the 440 has about 3000 miles on it .
