I just bought my first A-Body. Been out of the hobby for over a decade and began decoding the fender tag of my 74 Dart SE. It has option V1P. As far as I know that is a yellow floral vinyl roof. What are the chances? Also, there is a hood emblem (SE). I believe there should be a special edition emblem in script positioned on the vinyl roof. Does anybody know if this is correct? Are there any other emblems (grille, deck lid etc) Right now all the car has are fender emblems that say DART only. Any help would be appreciated.

On your build sheet,on row 2,you have boxes 1-18 please tell me the options for the sheet,I will tell you the code and its meaning,Mrmopartech
 
On row 2 on my build sheet, E44 (box 1), D34 (box 2), D51 (box 4), D82 (box 5), T24 (box 7), H1 (box 11), LL (box 12), 000 (box 13), V01 (box 14), GE7 (box 15), V1P (box 16), V5X (box 17). Thanks.
 
Thanks for getting back to me. I have decoded the car with the exception of T24, tires line 2 box 7 of build sheet. The V1 indicates a full finyl roof. The P was not listed as a color option for 72-74. It is listed as a yellow floral (mod top) roof in 69-70. I have reasearched this pretty extensively and can find no other meaning for V1P other than a mod top. I am being cautious only because this car is a 74 and it is my understanding that the mod top was only offered 69 and 70. Both the fender tag and build sheet indicates V1P and yes they are both assisned to my car. I guess what I am looking for is someone to prove to me that V1P in 1974 is something other than a mod top. I bought Galen Goviers book for 72-74 production codes and he does not have a V1P listed. If you want me to contact you I will but like i said I've decoded the car with the exception of T24 (buildsheet) and the confirmation of V1P. thanks.
 
P is the color but I can't find a code for P. The only P was for 69-71 and that was a mod top. After 71 I cannot find a designation for P. Thanks for your help.
