So I ordered a set of Gorilla lug nuts from Amazon. They come in a pack of 4, so if you want a whole set you have to order 5 packs. Well, they show up today along with another thing I tacked onto the order to get free shipping. Problem is, there are only 4 packs in the box. I think to myself, "Self, I know you ordered 5 packs, right? Right?" So I look at the packing label, and dang if it doesn't say there were 4 packs in the order. So I say "Crap" or something like that, and I sit down at my computer to order another pack. To make sure I get the right part number, I go to my Amazon orders list and find the order of 4 packs of Gorilla lug nuts. Just as I'm about to click on the "Buy it again" button, I notice there's another order waiting to be shipped: one package of Gorilla lug nuts. It seems I did order 5, but they decided to ship my order from two different places. Sometimes life is just too complicated.

Sounds about right. Few months back I ordered 3 of the same size break-a-way collars for the pups. All 3 the same color. Came from 3 different warehouses...

Usually caused by drop shippers. They sell stuff they don't warehouse. After they sell it they contact their guy and have them ship it to you. Sometimes it will be different suppliers. Hate that.

may be like the local Deere dealer here. Use to be able to walk in and get any part you needed for dozier, trackhoe or backhoe until the locals started charging inventory tax on everything in stock. Now you go in and they have to order most everything and it will be here overnight and of course I have to pay shipping because it is special order and lose a days work because it wasn't in stock the day before

maybe like Rock Auto, if I try to order 3 parts , they would come from 3 different warehouses with 3 different ship charges!!!!! SOoooooo back to the local parts pirates!!!!?? LOL

I admit I should have been for in born in 1865 and died in 1935,,,,, yes modern life gets me. too old for technology and too young for horse and buggy travel.... maybe become Amish!????

I went through that crap with Year one years ago, they took my money and told me the part was on backorder. That's when I realized they were a middle man. I don't thik I've bought much from them since.

years back I bought most of my parts from Hardens here in Missouri. I noticed they would get a shipment of semi full qtr patches, they would always gets some dings/damage in shipping,... then they would have to ship to the buyer. more dings!????.... I just picked mine up as I was only 1 1/2 hrs away then.

put companies figure why keep so many parts in a warehouse. space, property tax on it like the other guy said, they have to pay someone to box and ship, let the supplier do it!! lots of stuff comes directly from the supplier.

Yaer One, their prices have always been high, UNLESS you buy what $1000 at a lick. Classic does the same. I always rather buy from the smaller vendor that gives fair prices and shipping costs.

Just the simple life..... Please!!!!!!!!! When 5 kids in the back seat could look out the back window at the cars following.......
