Modifying Schumacher Headers

I got my new schumachers a couple of days ago and now have to modify them for a 4-speed. I haven't decided exactly how I am going to do it, but it looks fairly simple. I am going to put the engine in my 69 383-s this weekend and make a final decision then. Will keep you posted how I do it.

I put the 440+6 back in my barracuda today!

It looks like I can cut off the collector an inch or so in fron of the flange and angle the collector 10-15 degrees so it runs parallel to the torsion bar and then maybe move the collector back an inch or so to get the clearance for where the z-bar and clutch rod attach.

I am hoping to find some exhaust tubing scraps at a local exhaust shop as I only need a few inches.

I will keep you posted and will take pics.
