Finally!!! The set of rods came today that I ordered and paid for 13 months ago. Nothing like having 700.00 tied up for over a year but this was the last big piece needed for my Indy headed 422 engine. The 408 in the black duster is only a year old so I’ll send this assembly off to get balanced and slowly put it together. I have a fresh 360 shortblock on an engine stand that would run 6.20’s-6.30’s if needed.

Sick, those look stout! I can’t wait to see the build.

This old Indy headed combo (422) ran 5.98 which is exactly the same as my Edelbrock headed 408. But the 408 has a .650 lift roller cam and the 422 has a .650 lift roller cam. I know I can get more out of my Indy heads but the set of Edelbrock heads I’m doing now are better than the ones on the car. Lol. So I may do more work on the Indy heads and intake and grind my R3 so I can move into a roller cam. Hmmmm lots to think about.
