So I was at the Stafford Springs swap meet a few weeks ago and an aircleaner catches my eye. No emmissions but a breather tube nipple. The marks are there for a manifold heat stove tube but it's not punched for that either. The guy could not tell me anything but it was on a 4bbl. I liked it and bought it. Now what the heck is it for? Oval push in single snout. Had any one ever seen one like this and what's it fit? Then I will know the value. Right now it is garage art. Really nice shape too. No emmissions or vacuum tube holes and from what I see totally unmolested.
Thanks!
Joe

74+ RV with 360 4 bbl. a lot of RV's and even some trucks were emissions exempt

another possibility is a JEEP with an AMC 360 they used some of the same stuff as mopar. now that I think about it I would bet it is from a full sized AMC jeep, would have to be an early one but above 74

I don't know for sure but I bought one at the Nats for 10 bucks.

Thanks for the help:
I went to Nick's website and nothing. It's not Jeep because in the 70's Jeeps still used AMC air cleaners. My good friend is a Jeep guy and he was saying if this is 74 and newer, it would be full of emissions doo dads. It definitely is MoPar and I am leaning toward heavy truck. It may even be generator. All I can come up with is 74-79 4bbl.
Again it may not be worth anything and I don't care, I paid very little for it. I had not seen a cleaner that new with no emissions before. So I bought it.
Any other input would be appreciated.
Thanks, Joe

no matter what it is, I think you have a nice air cleaner. Cleaned up and painted with maybe a decal, it will look pretty nice.
