Hey guys i got a question im goin to Carlisle for mabe 2 days i only have lik $400 you think i can get quarter panel patch panels for my 76 duster for lik $120 for two or something ? i have never been here ..my dad has gone when i was lik 4 yrs old... and mabe some other cheap parts for it and mabe pick up a cheap motor lik 340 ? and who will be going also .. Thanks for the help angelo

Finding a cheap 340 anywhere isnt likely to happen any time soon!

I paid $110 each for the qtrs. for my 71 Duster a couple years ago from Auto Body Specialties,the prices have gone up a bit since then.
Cheap 340? I have seen complete 340's there going for between $1000 and $1500.

My opinion, get a 360 out of the yar and bore it .040 and you'll have a 340 with a longer stroke.

so a 360 is a under bored 340 like a 305 to a 350 is.. but ik no on the newr style 305's like the centerbolt its hard to make it into a 350 b/c its hydralic roller and the heads are diffrent any way enuf about chevy

Let's not compare Chrysler and Chevrolet.
A 360 and a 340 are similar other than pistons, rods and crankshafts. Those parts don't interchange, and the main journals are bigger in the 360.

I Paid 169 Each For The Full Quarter Panels On My 70 Dart 2 Years Ago From Auto Body Specialty Good Stuff Was Very Happy With Them They Should Be There What They Said ABOUT Cheap 340 Doubt You Find A Cheap One I Hope To Be There

a 360 is 4.00" bore with a 3.58 stroke, a 340 is 4.04 bore and 3.31 (?) stroke. So bore a 360 .040 over and you have a 340 with s lightly bigger stroke. Roughly a 367 CI.
