Will an M1 mopar intake for a small block bolt up fairly well on 318 2bbl heads, or will the ports be completely mismatched?:)

The M1 ports will be bigger than the 318 ports. The Edelbrock Performer has ports that match the 318 pretty good. I have one on my 318 in my Duster and in your case it would be a good one to use with a stock motor. You can put either a square bore carb (Carter, Holley) or a spreadbore carb (Thermoquad, Q-Jet) on it. I have a Q-jet on mine and I get 17 - 18mpg combined.

Holley would require an adapter, right?

If you can find an Edelbrock LD4b thats probably the best dual plane manifold for a 318. Its a nice hi rise like the LD340 but it has smaller ports for 318's. I am not really a fan of the Performer manifold. I have had 3 performers on different cars and boats over the years, I sold them all because they don't perform.

Is it a dual plane or single plane M1 ? I wouldnt run a single plane M1 on a 318.

I thought all m1s were single plane but have i been mistaken ? Please let me know

No theres a dual plane M1 for BB and SBs just not seen as much.

oh man that intake only lets you drive 17-18 mph that would stink you couldnt make it anywhere in a reasonable amount of time. :angel9: Sorry i couldnt resist for some reason that made me laugh i know its not that funny but for some reason it was to me. I know what you meant by the way thats pretty good mileage for a v8 i could deal with that.

I couldn't figure out what you meant but after reading it few more times, now I get it. Like Rob64GT said they don't perform well, LOL.

That is pretty funny. I'm gonna go change it now.
