Hey whatsup guys.

Almost getting ready to install my 340 into my 64 plymouth valiant.

I ran into one problem. The inlet fitting that came on my high flow mopar performance fuel pump is massive (see pitcures) my fuel line is a 5/16s. And im wondering what I need to do here. Any advice ?

What size is the hole in the fuel pump? 3/8 or 5/16?

Never seen a fitting like that, ''AN style'', come with a new pump.....maybe i'm just too old...lol.

A good parts store should have the fittings you need to make a good solid connection to your stock line.

Those ports are both 1/4 NPT threads. Take those adapters out of there and it will look like this:

Then get a male 1/4 NPT to 5/16 hose barb fitting for the inlet;

and then get a male 1/4 NPT to female 1/2 20 UNF fitting for the outlet which will allow you to run a 5/16 hardline (flare fittings) from the pump to the carburetor.

You might need a regulator for this pump. I installed the same pump on my 340 many years ago and the fuel pressure was to high.
