I have some NOS MoPar points….part numbers 2421173 and 2421175…one set is big block and one is small block…but which is which? I’ve seen the 2421173 listed for small and big block…I'm guessing a single one for standard and use a pair for dual point? Any help would be great.

@halifaxhops I’m sure you would also know! Thanks!!

Looks like left and right for a dual point. @halifaxhops has the books to tell.

Bb rotation is one way, SB is the other.

I bought dual points kit from classic and they turned out to be bb.

Actually the big block dual points go back into the 1950's.
The older part numbers supersede to the 2421173.

Looking at post #5, the points for SB & BB seem to be the same; maybe a difference in the rubbing block?

Thanks!! What years do they fit? Small block ones are probably 1965-1971? Big block ones?
Keith, Some 175 go back to the early Hemi's. 53-72 ish? for them not sure on the 173 off the top of my head, mostly B/RB 60's and early pre 72.

Post #13. yes, I am aware they are both 'single point' dists. But they rotate in different directions......

Hence the question about the rubbing blocks.

Geometry stays the same it is all about where the cam lube stacks up at then. And they are phased. LA and B/RB pick up plates interchange. Now the locked out ones have a right and left on the electronic.
