Moser 8 3/4 axles no big hole

I just bought a pair of moser axles for my 8 3/4 a body rear end. Is it normal for them to not have the big hole in them to get at the nuts that hold the bearing and backing plate on?

yup thats how they are. just tighten the nuts before you put the brake shoes on.

yup, distributor wrench works too.

They do have the option of profile milling some holes or making a "star" pattern out of the flange. Saves weight, but naturally it costs more.

You can always just drill your own.

Yeah, they charge an extra eight dollars for the hole.

Keeps the price down I suppose.
