I want to thank all of you guys for your help and answers for the crazy ??? that I have asked over time..but now I want to say that the motor is broke in sounds good runs great and we're very happy with it so far.....got it fire up wed. night ran for 20min at 2000 no problems 55psi oil pres. and 170 degrees temp.....man this thing sounds great its not really loud just a nice little tone..did had to work on the carb a little but no major problems....broke it in with just the outer springs put inner sprins back in readj. valves no leaks now its time for the road/track test........carb seems to be in order so far i think ran for about 10min last night checked plugs hot they where kinda white looking on the ends is that where it should be or should they be tan brown?????anyway got some little tuneing to do set time on 32 for now will move up or down at the track carb i ended up with 75fr/82back 4.5 power valve in front 6.5 in back but I plan to remove the back and plug......had to cut my muff. of and reweld them now there are back about 16'' from the collector......we painted the header pipes with hight temp after start up they all turnned a nice color all the same color I think thats a good thing not turning cherry red......but man I tell you just happy that it turns out to run good and not have alot of problems......my son is so happy(16yrs) and he help turn bolts all the way though and even stayed up 12/2 in the morn working on this thing so proud of him......he's going to drive this car this year....man what a great feeling.......thanks to all for the help.....will post pic of car soon:cheers:

hay moper got a ??? for you and the others...last time I had this motor going it was 185/190 psi in all cyl. with a comp 306 555/555 mag. cam i think it was 260 @50 not sure now this cam is 150 on all cyl and the cam is 244/252 @ 50 comp xs282s now I did end up with a diff. head then before with just a few changes..this head has nail head valves(milodon) and the others had tulip (stock) valves had 65cc on old and 67 on the heads on the motor.. timing was never right cause off chain slack now tension and spot on smaller cam and lower psi ...with this psi am I safe to run pump gas 93/97 and not have problems????????as said plugs are gray looking on the bottom of the plugs all the way across with 110 car is smooth better resp. and idle just fine for now plan to put vac. on it and see whats needed. man ift feels good to have this thing going...I will post pic dunno how to do vid..(just learned the pic about 2wks ago hahaha) but if so can tell me I will post..thanks
