I could use some help with flex plate and motor mount questions on my Duster project.

Here is the flex plate I have. As I understand it, this flex plate is correct for my 318 and stock high stall torque converter.

I'm wondering what thread lock to to use on bolts to fasten it to the crank, also what torque specification?

I also need to find out what bolts to use to bolt the flex plate to the converter.

Wondering if and where I can get a bolt set to bolt the 904 housing to the 318...

And while I'm at it, just want to make sure these are spool type motor mounts and a suggestion as to where to get new ones..

Thanks!

I use blue locktite on the converter and crank bolts. I usually just use my impact on the crank bolts, but I think they are around 100 ft.lbs. You can get a new flexplate from Advance Auto for under $20.00 if you chose to get a new one.

Red Loctite is good.

I also need to find out what bolts to use to bolt the flex plate to the converter.

The flex plate bolts have a larger head than standard bolts. Here is a link to Mancini racing page with several options for crank to flex plate bolts. You will need 7/16 - 20 bolts and torque them to 55 ft*lb. You may use loctite, but if you torque correctly, it isn't necessary. Also chase all threads (not new) with a tap or die for best results and more accurate torquing. They have a kit with both the crank to flex plate bolts and the special flex plate to torque converter bolts (which also have a larger head than standard - torque to 270 Inch*lb)

You can go to the hardware store and get 3/8 - 16 x 1 1/2" long bolts and two 7/16 -14 x 1 1/2 - 2" bolts.

Mancini may also carry the motor mounts, but I can't find them on the web, call and ask them.
