For the 2nd time I've done a BB a body I'm finding the Schumacher mounts to cause me a hassle. The drivers side mount just gets butchered and this time around I just destroyed the mount when installing the new TTI headers and the passenger mount is sagging a bit.

So I'm looking into one of the following options, new mounts... OR motor plate or elephant ears.

I found these. http://arengineering.com/products/a-body-cnc-profiled/

Has anyone successfully "soft" mounted a motor plate or E.Ears on a street car? How bad are solid mounts on the street?

Please advise...

Also considering converting to spool mounts vs biscuit style if that is any better?

Forum member Ross (76orangewagon) made these encapsulated rubber ends which
was an idea he got from Greg Charney's '68 Dart.

I did something similar to my motor plate using poly shackle bushings.
I had a friend weld a couple 3/8" thick pieces on then I drilled them out to
just under the bushing od.
