Im thinking about using a motor plate in my 68 Cuda with a 505 RB stroker ...
How are you guys spacing the pulleys with the water pump shoved forward ?
Im looking at this plate . $175 from Mancini.
Car is street driven .... 600 hp.

One of my side jobs a few years ago was to put a big block in a dart using a set of elephant ears, and what i did to keep cost down was i measured the thickness of the plate and took the water pump housing to the machine shop and removed that much from it, so when i bolted the water pump and plate onto the block everything was at the correct location to run stock pulleys , alt, and p/s pump, with no aglinment probems, and it costed less that $50.00.

We are picking up our race car later today and it has motor plates and an alternator and I'll post some picks of that and a diff water pump setup to look at.

Mancini Racing sells a spacer for the crank pulley that is 3/8 thick. It is designed to work with the Mancini motor plate.
