I bought a motorcycle in Columbus Ohio need to get it shipped to Ozark Arkansas. Nothing special Honda night hawk. Anyone have any experience shipping one.Your input and recommendations would be appreciated,Thanks Kevin.

There are several company's out there that ship, http://www.haulbikes.com/ we use these guys quite abit, they do a great job. They will handle everything for you.

I'm a motorcycle dealer.

I shipped my panhead from Utah to NY in a crate in made. I used 2x2 angle and plywood and 2x4. I made a skid and boxed both wheels down and u-bolted frame to angle iron which was bolted to 1/2 plywood sides. Made the trip by truck w/o any problems Used lots of lag bolts and sheet rock screws.

I did a restoration on a 47 Indian Chief and had to ship it back to the owner out west.
I went to our local Harley dealer and got a crate that a new decker came in, placed the Chief in it and use 6 web ratchet straps to tie it down. It was sent via transport and made the journey with out a mishap. I also got additional insurance on it, just in case.

My buddy used JC Motors to ship his Harley from CA to TX and had a good experience.

I sold one on ebay to a guy in Mexico. Made the pallet myself with wood scotches screwed to pallet around the tires and then strapped/wired the bike front and back down. Full inclosure and pads put at ends of handle bars. Not a scratch at the other end. Drain fluids.
