Mountain Moonshine Festival - Lot's of Cars!

Went to the Mountain Moonshine Festival today in Dawsonville, GA.

There must have been over a hundred 1940's Ford Deluxe Coupes there. Apparently, they made the best moonshine running vehicles! Did see a cool Chrysler 300. And... a nice Belvedere highlighting a notice that came with the car.

Stephen, they did have free samples!! But the line was too long for me. My wife and I are going to go up one day during the week when there's not a bazillion people around. They have guided tours of the distillery and give a bottle of moonshine with admission.

When I lived in Virginia I took a Junior Johnson Moonshine gift set to the Mopar Club Christmas party for the dirty Santa gift exchange. It got a lot of play!!!

Great Festival! I look to be back next year and disappointed I could not make this weekend. Got a few jugs in the fridge, good stuff!

It was a great festival. Much bigger than I imagined. There were hundreds of cars there. Lot's of moonshine cars, but lots of others also. We got a late start but we had a great time. That's up there in your neck of the woods!! Beautiful country!
