I have a new blaster 2 which has a slightly higher terminal case then my old one. I just put together new Taylor wires, but I cannot get the new wire to snap into the new coil, its like it's too deep for the terminal to seat. However it will snap onto the old coil.

Anyone run into this?

Is that the only female terminal ended wire you have? Will a spare female blade click in?

It sure looks like the one on the right has a tall tower. Might need a straight boot.
My memory is foggy on this but IIRC the Blaster 2 used to come with an extender.

It also came with a straight boot, but that didn't click in either. I needed a 90, so I could mount on firewall. In doing some research, I may need this? https://www.amazon.com/dp/B00029JLD6/?tag=fabo03-20

Its a make your own kit. It has the spark plugs end (hei style) and these brass ones. It came with one straight plug also, but that didn't reach either.

That's one way to go about it. I was just curious if there were more than one type or length of female connectors and boots. I have boxes of females kicking around. If you need a few spares PM me.

I think the trouble is the boot, itself. It doesn't seem deep enough. The connector will snap on without the boot, but in the boot it's not long enough.

If that's the case pull the wire further out of the boot. There is no rule that says the wire can't come out of the boot.

Pull the wire out, stick it into the coil and then slide the boot down.

Done and done.

You sure there isn't a boot in there that is different than the other females? Let me walk out in the garage and MIC some stuff.

This your problem? There are female cap ends...and one specific for the coil

I am using the bigger one. Seems easy but I think it's coming down to the tower in the new blaster 2 being longer. It snaps onto the old one just fine. I think I'll just have to get that adapter and be done. Lol.

I might have to relocate the coil tho, that adapter looks to be even taller and I want to clear the firewall.
