hm, I asked the techs at MSD but never received any answer.

What is the correct cable harness for a carbed 2009 6.1L? Is it 06-'07 Engines - PN 88864?? They don't have any other except pre 2006....

I want to order these days and I'm not sure about that it fits correctly. I have no room for mistakes and can not ship back (germany, you know...)....

That should be right - 88864.

The 03-05 5.7 had a different type of coil pack. Vendors sell a kit for those guys to swap to the newer coil packs, which is a single pack with two spark plug boots on it. That should be what you have, so you should be good with the 88864.

I know the FAST system has two kits because of the different plugs, they call it a 5.7 or a 6.1 kit though.

I'd let someone else weigh in on it before you buy though...

Not that it answers you question, but I found a good deal on the MSD stuff from Team C Performance (just google them for the website). They had the computer for $385 I think and the harness was maybe $25-50 cheaper as well. Got the package deal for around $550 total as opposed to the $660 or so that they tend to retail for. Not sure what shipping would be like for you though and if they would even ship international.

this is great. 385 for the controller and 150 for the harness is way cheaper. Thanks. And I have a "ship to" address in the States.... ;-) The link is http://teamc.com/

hm, not so easy to order there. Shipping and billing address has to be the same they say in the FAQs. Lets see what the customer support says to my little problem... i hope they answer at all......

Yeah, I was happy to find some discounts for my project. Overall probably saved a few hundred bucks. Would probably have been able to save more with some patience, but who has that anymore, lol. Found a swap flywheel on Ebay for $100 cheaper than I've seen it elsewhere. They even had the aluminum one $100 cheaper. Was quite pleased to find the MSD stuff cheaper, just need to see about getting a tach adapter now.

Haha, unfortunately no, all the intakes out there for these engines seem to be on the pricey side. The Edelbrock dual quad one is probably the cheapest I've seen at around $300 and change. The Indy one isn't too bad at $400, but by the time you get the gaskets and bolts it was more like $450 I think. One other thing to keep in mind with the MSD box is that you may need a tach adapter depending on what tach you have or if you plan to use one. I've heard that Auto Meter tachs work fine off of the tach wire on the MSD box without any adapter, but most old school ones that trigger off of the negative side of the coil need a little adapter box wired in. I just ordered an 8920 adapter box, hopefully it will work right. Got it off of Amazon for $40 as opposed to the $90 it normally lists for.

I have an Autometer Tach....

TEAMC replied today that they are not able to process my order. Shipping and billing address has to be the same inside USA. Even the homepage doesn't allow me to place an order. F***k. Seems I have to stay with Summit because they ship to my company in the States....

okidoki, msd stuff will come from Atlantic speed shop. A bit cheaper than all others except teamc. XV no chance cheaper so I buy there. Nice support btw....
