So when the indicator holes are gone are the slicks done?
How many pass would a light 10 sec car be expected to get out of a set?

Pretty much done. As for how many passes on new ones... depends on how long you stay in the water box.

lighter cars are easier on slicks....or you can wait until the chord is showing...

Theres probably a 16th - 32nd of depth left. How deep are the new?

Dont have a new set around the house to check...

You may get a few passes here and there out of them, but most regular racers know it's time when the 60' starts falling off. And that usually happens before the wear indicators are gone in my experience.

Mine too. I wouldn't run those on a light 10 second car let alone a 14 second car. Not enough meat left to hook and not safe to run.

I had a pair of 9x28's in his condition that i kept around. Soon found out that my sticky M&H bias L60's were actually better.

Yep 60fts will drop off huge.My personal experience is the Hoosiers last longer than the MT...maybe a different compound?JMO.Always think safety toward others when racing.:D

Thats what I was thinking/wondering

Thanks again all

Also the last 2 sets of M/T's i have had on my car started losing the sidewalls before i was through the tread indicators. As others have said my 60 foots started going south while there was still sum tread left ...

I'm having that issue now. The wear indicators are visible but flat. The last night out, 2 weeks ago, my 60 ft fell off, from 1.55s to 1.68s. I put it in the trailer after the second half pass. Running 29.5 x 9 on 11.60 car. For me, it's time to mini tub and upgrade to 12in it looks like!

I've only run my 65 dart convertible twice at the track .......but on the street I have to run dot street slicks . without slicks , street tires are like riding on ice. ..
What I have noticed with my last pair of street slicks hooisers qtp , is that as they worn down past the wear bar holes, this dart really started hooking up on the street.. I mean .. awesome hook .specially when i'd roll into it on a roll . anyway............I wouldn't go beyond the wear bars for the strip.
just saying.

PS: T-Minus 2 months >>>>>>>> 3-1-13 my LOW 11.00 sec street machine ragtop dart... goes up FOR SALE !
NO TRADES please !
