Muffler Offset Question

I'm putting new pipes on the 68 Cuda, but it has a strait chambered muffler on it. I'm planning on putting flowmasters on it, but i dont know if the inlet side of the muffler is supposed to be offset or not. Anyone know?

yepp inlet offset and outlet center, you can get away with an offset/offset muffler if you custombuild you own exhaust but it wont line up properly with the bracket for haning the exhaust in front of your rear axle
