muffler sizeing

Hey guys does anyone know what size muffler fits well under our floor pans are all a bodies the same.Not sure what to go with 17 ,18 or,19, inch. Stright inlet and outlet or offset what did you all fit there.I plan on making my exhaust with out tail pipes for now.So stright pipes and mufflers for now.Thankssssssssss

I have 18" long Flowmaster 50 series. The stock muffler is offset in center out and that is what I went with on my car.

Stock was 18", you can fit 20" if you trim the outlet shorter and are careful with the front. Better still, flange the outlet and the tailpipe and it is much much easier to use the 20" muffler.
