My 300 went into the bodyshop for the 'plastic surgery' this morning!

Hello Gang,

Just a quick note to say that my '05 300 went into the shop this morning to have the damage repaired after someone rearended the car over the Memorial Day weekend. I'm looking foreward to getting the car back in a few days.

Also, I have a question regarding seals for the power steering pump in my '68 Plymouth Valiant. Are these seals replaceable, or does the entire pump need to be replaced again? The pump is leaking power steering fluid slowly. I thought it was the seals in the ps gearbox, but my mechanic looked and said that the gearbox is fine, but the seals are starting to go in the pump.

Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

Don't know about the seals although I thought I seen a post about it here.

How much damage was done to the 300?

To answer your question, as a matter of fact, I just got off the phone with the shop. (3 pm EDT) and the adjuster had written the damages at $1050.

The car needs a new bumper skin, the actual bar, the insulation foam backing.

Doesn't look too bad though.
