Finally got my dart sport home and I'm getting ready to start tearing it down and rebuilding it.

The car started life as an Aspen white 1974 Dart Sport Hang Ten edition with a 318 2 barrel and torque flight trans. The car still sports the original motor and trans but now has a 71 front end and soon to have a demon rear panel and lights installed. Power front disk brakes and bbp all the way around. I've decoded the fender tag but as you can see in the photo some parts are difficult to make out.

The areas that are in dire need of repair are the rear quarters, trunk pan and rails, and the front floor pans.

The engine has been upgraded with a new accel coil, aftermarket fan, and an Edelbrock Performer 600 cfm 4 barrel. Has a new gas tank installed as well.

Looking forward to getting started tearing it down and making it my own.

Welcome to FABO! too bad it wasnt left as a Hang 10 as they are fairly rare but on the other hand making a Demon out of it is just as cool really.. have fun looks like a good project.

I've got the interior stripped out and the floor pans aren't too bad, just need patching in the front foot wells.

When I pulled the rear seat I found that the PO had screwed down aluminum flashing over the rear area and I feared the worst; got it all taken out and the floor is great, I'm kinda puzzled as to why they put it in.

The rear quarter on the driver side had previously been "repaired" by filling it in with spray foam and 1/4" to 1/2" bondo.

This is my biggest concern, the rear subframe is rusted very badly for the last 12"-15" including the rear spring hangers. I have a trunk that had been cut out of another car and the subframe is in great shape minus the driver side hanger. How big of a pain in the *** is this going to be to replace without the car "flexing"?
