Here’s a good one at me. About a year ago was having problems with the sliding doors in my van. So I wrestled and fought with it to get the door panel off to open the door. Got that fixed. The two weeks later it locked again. Well I gave up you want to be locked freaking stay that way. Yesterday I was wanting to know the temperature outside looked at the overhead console. There are 4 switches there, looked closer two were off, looked closer yet one was for power locks on sliding door. Turned it on the door works go figure. Drove around for almost a year swearing at that door

Reminds me of a lawnmower i was had (come to think of it, this was 15 years ago and i still have that same mower)

Anyway, halfway down the yard, i run out of gas

So i grab the car, run into town and get a jerrycan of gas

Get back, fill the mower up, hit the key...and nothing

Check that the brake was on, made sure my but was in the seat, absolutely nothing

Pushed it over into the garage, jumped the started with a screwdriver and it would try to start

I tore that thing down to the ground trying to figure out why it just wouldnt start and couldnt figure it out

So, i just gave up


A few months later I'm out grilling, just sipping a beer and looking around the property when my eye lands on that mower, tucked into the garage
And something looks off
Like a bright orange flag that's down when it should be up

So I take my beer and walk over
Sit down on the mower, and hit the key...nothing

I put down my beer and push down on the PTO lever, disengaging it, hit the key and it fired right up

In polish they call it Dupa of which I am guilty

Don't feel too bad. I bet everybody on this forum (probably even our distinguished @toolmanmike @RustyRatRod and @67Dart273) have a similar story.
 
Someone recently was talking about Astroglide and I couldn't help but think about how I could use that to keep squirrels off my bird feeders
