My new 71 Dart swinger

I domnt want to steal blackace's thunder, but I too have just acquiered a black 71 dart swinger. Mine need restoration though. I will post pics as soon as I can. But I had a question: I can tell that my car had a vinyl top and the chroming around the top of the windows is raised up and sticks out 1 1/2 inches from the car. (will include a pic of this within next few days), Im not sure what I can do about this because I see this as a rust targeted zone, and I dont want that. Also I need help with how to remove the dash.. Im having the car sand blasted.

Congrats on your purchase. I like the 70-72 Darts alot. This is my sons 72 Dart and it was a vinyl top car. My buddy filled the holes and removed the top. I like them either way but am glad he did my sons this way. Ron
