well ill just start at the beginning. im 15 and have always been big on old cars, mainly mopars but id take anything probably. recently while at my aunts i found a pasture full of treasures...there were 4 beat all to heck barracudas of different years :sad7: a torn up duster, a 68 ford xl with the 429 still in it., my dad use to have a 69 .... there were a couple new yorkers, a monaco, aspen, volare wagon, belvedere II, and an old 60s im guessing valiant, then there was this 1972 2 door hard top swinger special, well the dart cought my eye, and ive always been looking for a project and this looked like a good place to start, she just has some surface rust on the roof and a very little on the rear quarters, and with a half of a slant six with three on the tree for an eng. and trani...well after some talkin to the man who owned those beautiful old treasures we agreed on $350 and when ever i need parts i can come and get them, note there are a couple 383s, 318s and one big block i couldnt tell what exact size that had a 4 barrel holley carb on it. sooo after some planing i took 4 rims and tires off a barracuda and put them on the dart and loaded her on the trailer yesterday, and here she is..pic below, ive taken the interior out and cleaned up all the nice presents the rats and mice have left behind and her floor pans look really good, and yes she has all her glass but she'll still needs alot of work.......i found this sight about a couple weeks ago but became a member a couple days ago, im sure ill be asking a lot of questions and i have already started, and im open to all answers or tips and advice and am always looking for parts....it will be great to know all of you, and just wanted to let you all know who i am

Looks like a good start. Welcome to the board and the hobby always good to see young people being into something other than pocket rockets. This a good place for any questions you may have, and once you find what direction you would like to go with the car many people will be more than willing to answer your questions.

well ive been debating on what to do for now, i have a slant six running that i could slip into her, but i know ill be going bigger later on most likely...ill probably upgrade to 318 then from there on im not sure yet

That will be a great car for you. My 19 year old son bought my 72 Dart over a year ago and runs mid 11's with it now. And I am so glad to see he drives the car so well. Good luck with the cool Dart. Ron
