After owning many of Dusters ..Really... Is it groovy. Sat in storage for 32 years , has a ford 9" Amc powered for now.:brave:

Got any pics of the interior or underhood? Like the dash or extra gauges?
 
I promise not to, this is 100% old school, Cragar super tricks check, tach drive distrib check, custom paint check accel everything check, only thing I might do is yank the 390 for a Mopar sb:violent1:

What size engine?

I don't think I'd swap a MoPar engine in there unless that one went south.
 
is that an original 390 car? I'd leave it as is, really cool looking car and very few around I bet.

Are you going to have out at the Antelope Valley Mopars show on Lancaster Blvd. on Sept. 13. I hope so 'cause I'd sure love to take a look at it there.

Love the looks of it. Don't touch the paint. Old school is the way to go.
 
I love it too! Concorde front tires.....I can't count how many of those I bought back in the day.....Mostly rears.:D
 
Now that is sweet! That 390 is no joke! Auto or four speed? Indy has a lot of AMC support. I haven't seen one of these in a long time. Great find. Best of luck with it.

That is so very cool, buddy of mine in high school had like that exact same paint job on his 67' Vette and were talking 1978.

You must be be stoked, but please don't tell us ya snatched it off of CL for 3k.

Love it!! My best friend used to have a 68 AMX, Big Bad Orange, 401, 4 speed, full cage, street car :D....that thing was a BEAST! We won many street skirmishes with that car back when I was young and stupid.....back when my Cuda only ran high 16's, LOL!!
 
I'd keep it all amc , if the 390 gets tired rebuild it .

Speed parts for the 390 are getting a lot more common
 
Its a four speed , It hasn't ran since the clutch went out in 1983. It turns over im putting plenty of oil in the cylinders etc.
 
yeah keep the 390. if you can find a spare 390 get it rebuilt then just swap back and forth when you upgrade etc.

Love me the AMX's. I have to agree with the masses......the 390 should stay put.
But what ever you do , you'll be doing it in style.
