Picked this up last week.

Plain jane, brown paper bag 1968 Dart post, original family owned car, original interior, repainted in 97, 273 2bl car. Now the kicker, now has a 68 340 w/518OD, 3:91 Suregrip. I have all the original paperwork with the car, buil;d sheet, window sticker, sales invoice. Pop the hood and it's almost like looking at a stock GTS, everything factory correct. This car is a blast to drive!!!!!

I took a gander under the car and there was some work done but it was a clean job
 
Just seen this great find. Looks like it is a show room car that could be a show stopper. Congradgalations on the nice toy.
 
I like the rims. 14x7's?? Was it converted to big bolt pattern?

Seems like a trick sleeper. What's it like kicking it down into overdrive on the freeway. Does it suddenly get a lot quieter?

And super sanitary using excellent judgement

Well I went this past weekend and had some Flowmasters put on and yesterday I installed an MSD 6A and a couple of gauges. That's about all I'm going to do to this car. I need to start back up on the 64 and get it running this winter. Plan on bringing it to the Fling next spring. As far as wheels and tires, 225/60/14 on the front on 14X7's and 245/60's on the rear with 14X8. I am replacing the front with 14X6. The 7's are too wide and look kinda funny.

I think the wide front rim look awesome. That is solely why the car catches my eye. That's what sets it apart from the other 67-69 sleeper A-bodies (typically valiants).

That car is like a "what if" they had a Formula S running gear with the stiffest lightest cheapest Dart. The 69 Swinger 340 was Mopar's best econo hot rod they actually made. But your Dart would have beat it out, hands down.
 
For some reason I don't like the feel of the steering with those wide wheels. My plan is to put 6 inch wheels up front and leave the 8 inch in the rear. The 7 inch wheels will be used for drag radials. I'm also changing the front sway bar to 1 3/4". The nose tends to dive into a corner so that will cure that problem. I'm also upgrading to KYB shocks so with those suspension mods the car should really handle nice.
