Should I be here? I hope you guys can help. I took out my Prius to the local drags and got spanked. Can you help me go faster? Maybe Al Gore can help me?

what do you expect with an estimated 0-60 time of what 13 seconds? them priusssess are FAST
 
Your going to have to void your warenty to go much faster. Perhaps a 50 HP shot of NOS to the gas engine and see how the batteries are configured. perhaps you can series some of them for more voltage to the motor. Anything can be made fast if you have enough money. I would think about 20 pounds of boost would make something happen be careful when you get up to 88 MPH.
 
I think it need slicks, probably to much tire spin through first gear. Or stuff the ever ready bunny up something and see if that helps!:-D
 
God I feel dirty even watching that. You got more balls than me for showing that here. I would of distroyed the camera's memory chip and denied everything. Mind you I would have never been there with a Prius in the first place.:-D

Jeez..this isn't helpful. I was hoping for some real help. Maybe if I plug-in and charge first, that might help. Maybe traction bars in the rear. I think the rear went a little airborne on the recoil from the hard FWD launch.

I considered removing my Obama 08 bumper sticker and the "hope and Change" magnet....but I didn't think the weight savings were worth compromising my principles. So....there I'm sure I can pick up a 1/8 tenth or so....
 
I have always thought a gutted/striped prius with a mid mount blown 500ci + hemi would make a fun sleeper. Tint all the windows and just have the stock wheels widened with slicks built for them...
 
have you considered getting car ??

i guess if you really want you prius to be fast you can but it would be better just to get a stok mopar would probly be strong enuff for ya...

id say ripp everything toyota out and alot of welding and fabb work a prius with a full blown mopar engine amd drive train could be done.......

I'm sure some good batteries and a new electric motor could make things interesting.
Some of the electric cars and bike I've seen are no joke.
