Here is the culprit that stole all my hard earned $$$$ for the last couple of years.

I was Active Duty USAF when I owned/sold my last Mopar (1973 Dart Sport-360)...I needed a car I could take overseas to Germany so I picked up the Best Bang for the Buck "Rice Rocket" money could buy (at least IMHO).

1998 Mitsubishi Eclipse GSX 5 speed.

It was pretty slow stock, but as the modifications began to progress, so did the power and performance.

Bone stock it kicked out a 14.99 @ 90 mph.

Here is a short Video of it 0-120mph on pump gas, with the BIG turbo and a Mild Tune:

Once the engine was fully built, I never had a chance to drive it 250 miles to the drag strip for a timeslip before I decided to sell it.

I won't brag and say I raced it much, but once I put 4 cars on a 2002 6 speed Corvette, from a Dig.

Hows that for 2.0L of Hemi Power?

Love it/Hate it......its okay, I am back to my Roots and ready to play with a SB A-Body again.

Comments?

Hey I had the same year Talon. My wasn't as quick as your sounds, but there is lots of performance goodies out there for those cars. Mine ran low 14's and I never got it to the 13's. I think my down fall was I was still running the original turbo max'ed out. Those cars do kick but for there time.

No one else has anything to say huh?

Turbo Hemi 4 Bangers suck huh? They sure CAN put out more per cubic inch than a $12,999 Mopar Crate Hemi.....with LESS THAN 1/2 the displacement.

Come' on guys, 1 reply?

Surely this place can't be just all about Burnouts and Lighter Knobs and Correct Windshield Wipers.

Good Ole' Clovis, NM....( I mean that VERY loosely )

I am Born and Raised Texan.

Here is what I work on, on a Daily Basis....:

I don't know what that big huge motor is, but I'm sure it would go like stink if you bolted that to a Dart Sport!

So do you have a new Mopar in the works Prine?

Yes, I just bought a 1970 Swinger-318/904/8.75....the one in my Welcome Wagon post.

Prine, that is too funny.....I am going to look at a car this morning that a freind has sitting in his yard. Yes it none other than a 1970 dodge swinger. I looked at it once and remember it is clean with no rust. If all goes well I will have a 318 swinger in my drive this afternoon. I think he is asking 600$

Are those tank engines?

Lol. Cool. Seems that there were quite a few 1970 Darts made....they are popular here.

Seen the one on Egay...F8 340 Swinger....man that thing is Sharp....gives me inspiration.

The engines we manufacture here are for industrial/commercial Power Generation (Generators/Compressors), and do not motivate any vehicles.

We do however also build the popular 5.9L, but it has lower CR pistons for Natural Gas/Liquid Propane/Propane Vapor fuel systems.

Cummins is a great company to work for too.

I have yet to go and pick up my Dart, but I will this weekend.
I paid a bit more for mine.
