Didn't think I'd ever see my name mentioned in the weekly Dragster Insider column on www.NHRA.com, but there it was when I read this week's column. It's only for a photo contribution I sent in to Phil Burgess when he started his stories on the X-ray drawings and photo techniques we used to see all the time in some of the auto magazines. But still kind of neat to see your name mentioned on a worldwide stage.

I've always been a huge drag racing fan and did my share of bracket racing with my first '69 340 Swinger. Back in the early '70s one of the Condit Brothers wives worked for my (then) wife and we were always with them at the local funny car meets here in SoCal. I found the photo shown in the NHRA.com column online and kept it in my computer pics for several years now. I sent it in to Phil Burgess when he started his column on X-ray drawings. I had no idea his column would expand to the X-ray photo technique and cover multiple weeks.
I always thought these types of photos were pretty trick back then - easier to do now with things like Photoshop.
