MIne has F225 5/21 on the deck of the block right side front. where do I find the year?

I think it's the "F". which might mean 1971? I guess they incremented starting with A in like, maybe 1965? But I also hear there is some 'slop' in what letter got into which year vehicle. Of course I could just be totally wrong...

F is the series (model year) 1970.

It has F225R 5 21 on the top edge. Not to concerned about the vin , I don't have the car it came out of. Just wondering about the year. But since I have your attention where is the vin # located? Thanks A TA.

The VIN is on the block under the rear spark plug.

Looks like OB to me . whats the significance ? And don't tell me it's worth a fortune ! lol. I believe it came out of a duster.
Here is the one I took out of my van a few months ago. Has no vin there. My van is a 66. Wonder if this was the original for the van?
The T that follows the first letter specifies Truck (obviously).. But there were a few years that the T was first . Chrysler changed how the stamped blocks a few times and at times had extra stamps depending on the plant. I'm not sure what year they began stamping serial numbers under #6.. My guess would be 68 when they changed the block to 5 freeze plugs. And at some point they started the 10,000 calendar.
They reused some letters a few times.. this is probably where the 10k calendar comes in to help figure out later blocks
60-65

P - 1960 pass
TP - 1960 truck
R - 1961 pass
TR 1961-1962 truck
S - 1962 pass
T - 1963 pass
TT - 1963 truck
V - 1964 pass
