First let me tell what I have. 70 challenger 3500lbs. race weight. 30 over 440 with srp flat top pistons. Stock steel crank and h-beam rods. Heads are pro comp rpm copies.with fresh valve job edelbrock valves and a home port clean up. Cam is a howards solid 260 264 at .050 .640 lift with h/s roller rockers. Intake is mopar m1 and holley 850 dp. tras. is 727 with 9.5 3800 stall. 3600 lb s/s springs m/t 29.5 10.5 slicks. Best time was 6.79 at 100.68 in the 1/8 with a 1.47 60 ft. My buddy runs 6.69 and I want to catch him. I was thinking of a holley 950 or 1050 on a 4150 platform. What do you think? Any other suggestions appreciated. Oh cr is 10.75.

Nice combination. Agreed with Crackedback, put a QUALITY converter in there ( you didn't list specs...), & what gears out back?....(gears effect torque converter stall speeds..).

Thanks for the advice. Sounds like a converter is the answer. Converter now is a dynamic about 8 yrs. old bought it when my combo was much milder. Gears are 4.88s Thanks again.
