I have a 1972 Demon with a worked over 318....Edelbrock Performer intake & carb, purple cam, flowmasters....... The thing needs someone to tune it properly, and possibly adjust the carb.....has trouble idling.....needs an adjustment on the rockers too (I was told they were solids)....some tapping.......rebuild has only 2 or 3 thousand miles on it...no smoke at all.......just runs like crud..........

Needs a GOOD tune up........ My problem is that I can't locate a GOOD place to get it done in the MAZE of hundreds of garages here in Orlando FL................Can anyone recommend a place where I WON'T GET RIPPED OFF...............??? Anyone?

The car is ready to roll out the door except for the tune. PLEASE direct us to an honest garage that knows Mopars.

Thanks.................. Doc

If you try yourself, we can help direct you in the process. We'll just need some info on the engine. Most key info is;

What cam you have in there
Carb size and type. In ex; Holley, Carter, Edelbrock.

You'll just need a timing light and a screwdriver. A wrench to losen the distributor, an allen key if your vaccum advance is adjustable and possibly pliers to remove clips from the carb to change jets. (Carter/Edel. carbs)

I appreciate the help, and I'm sure you guys could do a great job leading me through.BUT, fact is that my lower back just won't take leaning over the car any more........I'm an old school Stock Eliminator guy (Lebanon Valley, upstate NY) and could probably do a decent job, but it's not in the cards at this point....SO, my dilemma............

Need some help in or around Orlando.........I e-mailed the Orlando Raceway too....maybe I'll find some help..........I want to drive this thing........

Anyone else have a lead?

I'm in Palm Bay, Pastortom1. I'm in the process of building a 360 73' Duster. I have tools and a work area... Bring the Knowledge and some COLD beer !!! (this is my 1st v-8 mopar allways had /6's) So, I may be able to learn by tuning yours :)

Hummmmm, if time allows, you could teach the way. Interesting probable combo. You tell'em what to do and he learns. MAke sure he writes it all down now.:read2:

.....I'm going to offer it pretty soon if I can't find a garage. American Motorsports gave us a lead in Maitland to follow up on. I spoke to them on the phone, and it sounds like they'll be able to fix us up, even with a final dyno check.
