need exhaust manifold casting number

can anyone give me the casting number for the driver's side manifold on a 383 barracuda (the wierd looking one). apparently there was the original one first brought out that was 2 1/4" outlet, then in June of 1967 they brought out another improved one that was 2 7/16" that allowed more cooling and 15 more horsepower. i'd like to have both numbers if possible, so i can differenciate between them. the number i have located so far is 2946728, but i'm not sure which one that is. many thanks Gerry

................that is part# 4 the 68-9 manifold....there is actually only 3-5 hp difference from the 67 mani..casting ends with a 9.......kim.........

hey guys thanks for the fast replies, much appreciated. now oldkimmer you say that the one ending in 9 (2946729) is the 1967 and the 2946728 is the 1968-69, just wanted to double check, because you'd think that the higher number was the latest. thanks again Gerry

.....................No, the 2946729 is the casting # for the 68-9 mani...the 2946728 is the part#.....the 67 part# 2899001 and the casting #2899002.........kim.........

Thanks Kim, that explains everything! to bad chrysler couldn't have used the part number on the casting, and saved a lot confusion. Thanks again Gerry
