Yup pre 72 used a smaller stud.

The parts #'s are correct for a 72 Dart w/ disc brakes. Can you use the old bolts ?

no the bolts are to big won't go through the holes

what disc brakes are you using? 72 would be the 4 piston and small bolt and uses the smaller ball joint i believe. 73-up big bolt ises a single piston and a larger ball joint.

there the 4 piston brakes.. it's the two bolt that hold the balljoint to the spindle is where my issue is the bolt threads into the spindle but to large to fit through the balljoint arm(i guess you call it that)

maybe wrong parts in box? what is the difference between disk brake and drum brake baljoints?

Is the problem the same on both sides? Can you measure the holes in the old ball joint and the new one to see if they're the same?

yeah both sides.. like a idiot threw away the old ones already. thought i read somewhere that the drum had smaller bolts and the disk had larger.. not sure if that is true

I am not sure what you have there, but here are more choices for part #'s.

73 - 76 LBJ Moog K781 & K783

72 and older with drum brakes K785 & K787

Maybe since you no longer have the old ones, you could call where you bought the kit and give them the hole dimensions.......?

Also, here is another thread w/ a similar problem. Good luck

ok not getting to much help from performance suspension they said to measure the bolt and they'l check into it... my 72 with drums does have a smaller bolt then the bolts i pulled out of the 72 with disks.. is that what makes them different? does anyone know?

Here is a little more info:

The spindles on my 72 Demon are LBP from a 72 E-Body
Bolt Diameter is .61
Ball joint is attached w/ nuts & bolts

The 4 piston Kelsey Hayes SBP that were on the car before
Bolt Diameter is .52
Bolt actually goes thru the ball joint and threads into the spindle
