67 Barracuda 360LA has Sanderson shorty headers and Borgeson PS … so heres the thing …
My steering column needs replaced ( tons of play AFTER complete new front suspension and PS box AND it’s making noise internally like bearings are shot ) and the shaft, as you can see is aftermarket and barely clears headers. i have sourced a reconditioned 68 column, as I have no bandwidth to rebuild my 67 especially since it has that BS coupler welded to aftermarket shaft ( see pics )
So question—- can anyone confirm that TTIs are the way to go with PS and OEM steering column/ shaft

Someone I trust on this forum has told me the headers I have by Sanderson we’re not made for ABODIES and probably why they did the hack job to the steering shaft / and Borgeson coupling in pics

Something looks WAY out of whack with your column alignment.
U-joint or not, that column does not align with the steering box very well at all- and that "noise internally like bearings are shot" is at least partially because the column is rubbing against the headers. It appears that if your column was better aligned, that interference would disappear.
I'd go under the dash, and loosen up the column plate where it goes through the floor/firewall, and loosen up the plate bolts. Then shift the entire column over to the left as far as you can and retighten the bolts. If the interference disappears, you're good. Then you can assess whether the column itself actually does need work or replacement.

Looks like I need a set of TTI shortys
Or Hedmans
Hedman Performance Group
Sanderson does make A body headers, I'm just not familiar enough with their products to be able to tell you what you have- But they don't look like any of the offerings in their catalog.

You'll still have to straighten out the column situation before anything will work...

I’m willing to give that a shot, and appreciate what you’re saying.
But I can tell it has been shifted to the left as far as it can go already just by eye. Also the noise is definitely not coming from the headers rubbing … i know because it WAS rubbing before i replaced motor mounts and that noise stopped.
It’s in the column for sure.
That’s what’s started me down the me down the path and when someone pointed out that the headers are wrong for that car which Midnight Swinger has pointed out.
I was looking into a different coupler for the reconditioned 68 Column that I sourced when someone I trust pointed out that those headers are wrong.
