Now the freeze is over its back under the hood. The 904 is rebuilt, the 3.73's are in, it 's time to fine tune the carb and timing. the engine is .040 over, 9.5 flattops, stock crank and rods, j heads with 2.02's, 340 manifolds, rpm performer with a 650 thunder that surges when driving at low speeds or around town. I recently changed from a 256/262 voodoo cam to a comp xe 268. My 1406 edelbrock carb worked flawlessly with this setup, so I will worry about the carb after I have the timing buttoned down. Right now I have about 14 degrees initial with a chrysler electronic distributor from a later a body with an orange box. What advance would this distributor have from the factory? What should my initial and total be? Thanks
