Are you ttalking about a govt engined special order? Or a cop car like a state trooper?

It wil have a 4 bbl carb,1985 it might be a rochester. They used thermoquads prior to the rochester.

Roller cam you may need to strip a valve cover and pull a rocker shaft.Look into the pushrod hole with a bright light and see if you can spot a roller throught the lifter valley casting holes. Doubtfull this will work. But it's easier than yanking the intake.

Never mind..

Actually pulling the oil pan and looking up will work much better.

Pull distributor and look inside for the sipder hold down and dog bones for roller lifers.

they were 1st cast in '84 for '85 and will have the spider plate bosses in the valley.
I have a 1984 roller 318 block.
pull the intake.
though im sure someone has numbers listed for roller blocks if you do a google search.
