Need Seat Belt Help

I have a '74 Duster. To put on the seat belt you have to pull it out vvveeeerrrryyyy slowly. Too slowly. Is there an adjustment for this? Thanks .............Steve

Steve, Someone posted some pics with the repair process....I'll see if I can find them.. Basically you pull one side off the mechanism (careful of spring) and put some light weight oil or graphite lube on the metal "band" that goes around the plastic barrel. I think there is a little adjuster on the band, a little goes a long way.....Ah Ha, here it is:
