I know this has likely been covered here before, but the search function here SUCKS!!
I have a good 130 tooth neutral balance flywheel and want to use it on my magnum engine swap.
Can someone provide detailed info for modifying the neutral balance flywheel for use on the magnum?
Thanks.
P. I.

Perfect! Going to order one now.
Thanks Professor.
The only word of caution that I'd offer is to check your clearances. Since it mounts on the engine side of the flywheel, make sure it doesn't rub on your inspection plate- you may have to tweek it a bit, although I didn't need to. It may be close. There's plenty of room between it and the block, though, so no issues there.

Call Brewer's. They might be able to balance the flywheel that you have.

Here are the factory specs. A good machine shop should be able to handle this.

Okay so while we are on this I have a couple questions. I have my 5.9 out and apart. I've been using a factory 360LA 130t wheel. It has been fairly smooth but could be better. I have a new McLeod 464102 wheel that has the weight holes. Their weights says it is for 400, 440, 360LA and 5.9 Magnum. LA and Magnum have different weights so what gives? The one the Professor listed says it is for 5.9. It will fit my McLeod wheel right?

Summit has the balance plates for the LA 360s, check with them with their web site search tool.

I saw that and actually might use one on another motor that is a 360LA which that is for. 5.9 Magnum has a different balance.
The weight the PF listed is the only one that I can find that is for 5.9 Magnum only.

McLeod sells a kit with several different weights. One of them is for the magnum.
As far as I can tell, the one that PF recommended is a copy of the McLeod weight. It may be an actual McLeod weight from their kit. I suspect the seller is buying the kits from McLeod and selling the individual weights at a great profit.
