Getting engine & tranny redone & put back in 65 Dodge Dart. I need to get a neutral safety switch for 904, having a hard time finding one. What years cross reference that work? do I need 65 only or will 64 to 69 switches work. I believe it's single pole. Trying get car done and get a couple of cruises in before the snow flies in MN. thanks

I think there were only either the single pole (1965) or 3-pole, over all years and sizes of Torqueflites. Indeed, the 3-pole one in my 1996 minivan (A-413 Torqueflite) looks like it might have fit in my 1969 Dart (3-pole I recall). The center pole is the NSS. The outer 2 poles are for the backup lights, which was a separate switch in 1965.

Found some threads that three pole works, use middle pole for power. Bigger concern is newer switches are longer then old ones, need to track down same length switches. thanks

This may not be. I was ASSURED by someone some time ago that they work, but they are different depths, so I don't know. Maybe you could shim it with washers with enough work

In this town, LOL, you can't buy shim washers on a bet, so, like, LOL make 'em yourself

found three on ebay, one wanted arm & leg other one only an arm!
it's on it's way

I would have just taken a pinky toe lol. I have a few laying around

I used to have a couple of trannys with that style, sold them at Mopar show a couple of years ago. ggggrrrrrrrr :violent1:
