Hi guys I have resently purchased a 67 valiant 2 door post, this is a solid little car. I have went over it from top to bottom and found almost no rust. The car is all original, and was a one owner. Only 88000 miles. It has a slant 6 with auto trans and small 7.25 rear. I want to change to 360ci motor and 727 trans and 8.75 rear, but Im finding out this is not so easy. I am having trouble finding parts for interior/ exterior ect. I would love any ideals or advice.

Hello and Welcome to the site. There is alot of useful info and many great friendly people on here. I don't post much but I like reading and asking questions myself :toothy5:

Thanks for the welcome. I,ll post some pics as soon as I can this week. I'm Giving the old girle a good cleaning before her photo shoot. I see in your avitar shot you have a pic of a 69. nice!!!

finding parts is harder because it was only
a 3 year car with somewhat low production

the drivetrain swap will be the easiest because of the interchangeability
of a bodies in general

finding window parts will give you a fit as will weatherstrip stuff (2dr post)

go to a Summit store and get some bucket seats, do a rear seat delete
and call it a day....restoring a interior stock will cost a bundle, make it
like YOU want it

welcome, if you change your mind and decide to keep your slant 6, there is alot of good advice on here for making more power. looking forward to seeing pics.

Welcome to Fabo. Plenty of advice and quite a few Valiant builds to follow. Good luck.

My build is in the link below

Sorry about the avatar, My car is Actually a 1973 Plymouth Scamp with the same color Scheme. I just felt lazy to change it :toothy9:. here is my picture from a year ago

the Slants are strong Little Engines that could and there is many different combination from what I red.

sorry it took so long to get the pics. My camera saves pics at a 10 mega pix file, and they would not load to the site. It took me forever to figure out how to resize them and upload. I really like this little car. I only have 2,300. bucks in it . The body is great, Interior not bad, only rust is some surface rust that can be cleaned up eazy and reshot.

Wow! It looks great. If you have a good body to start with like that you are really ahead of the game. Some people I know have a year of welding and filling to do.

You are right about resizing the photos for this site. I just started to resize mine and will be posting soon.

wow, thats a nice valiant you got there. reminds me of my friends 68 we cruised around in in high school. he lives in troutman now, probrably not too far from you.
