Today I hauled the Dart to Jackson TN for T&T, about a two hour drive. For the last week the weather has been unseasonably warm and today was no different, it was in the low 80's at the track with 18-20 mph head wind.. The track was great, these guys do a great job on track prep, the drug and sprayed it full length three times before I left in the late afternoon. That's more times than Paducah drags and sprays 100' on race night, I've never seen them spray it for a T&T. The best 60' the 434 has ran until today has been 1.397. With the track being good we kept tightening the rebound and it kept picking up. On the fourth pass it went 1.348. with the rebound on my Viking front shocks set on full tight. After this pass we worked on rear shock settings and didn't find anything that it liked better than what was in it on the 1.34 pass. My buddy Mitch videoed every pass. In slow motion it was wadding up the radials so we went from 19 psi to 21 and the tire looked better but the 60' didn't pick up, the et did pick up .01. All in all a great day, I met some good people and got lots of good comments on my car, it was the ONLY Mopar there. Plus the track owner/operator came by and thanked me for coming, this has never happened at my local track, Paducah KY.
