New best last night....

I went to test & tune last night and ran a new best on my first pass 6.25 & 109.97 with only a 1.40 60 ft. I normally have a 60 ft. around 1.33-1.34. On my next pass it ran another new best 6.21 @ 110.59 with a 1.39 60 ft. and it was sputtering before it got to the finish line. I think I know what the 60 ft. problem is if I can get it fixed. When I mash the gas petal the throttle on the carb slowly opens. I have a new Lokar cable on it I think I need to change to something else. Oh I am running 1/8 mile.

Sweetness!! You picked up a nice chunk of ET, even with the 60' being off. Liking the MPH at the 1/8, that thing is making some steam.

The cable has a big loop in it right now, I am going to shorten the cable some and see if that helps. I may have to figure out how to redo the whole setup and put a throttle rod on it. I am not sure if that is possible. I believe when I get the throttle fixed it will run some 6.teens or possibly 6.0's. I am pretty sure the throttle is not fully open until i am close to the 60 ft. or passed it.
It is a 3.79 stroke in a 73 340 block (394 ci) 10.9-1 (pump gas, 93 octane) 360-2 heads, 2950lbs,Drag Radials and mufflers. Home made caltracs and stock leaf springs.
